Melanie Carter, writer, USA/Egypt
Raised in Florida and a writing instructor at the American University of Cairo for over a decade, Melanie has spent her time at NZPS working on two projects: a performance piece set in Japan and a poetry manuscript that brings in the landscape and culture of the Wairarapa.
She has held residencies at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre (Ireland) and the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences (USA).
Publication credits include in The Gettysburg Review, Antioch Review and Best New Poets.
