Meet author Philomena van Rijswijk at Masterton District Library on Tuesday 23 May at 2pm. All invited.
Philomena lives in Tasmania, where she writes novels, short stories, and poetry & has been awarded several literary prizes. She's in the Wairarapa, thanks to sponsorship from Masterton District Council.
In this free event at Masterton District Library, she will speak about writing & the wisdom of aging. The title "Mud and Stars" comes from the saying, "Two men looked out the prison bars / One saw mud; the other saw stars."
Philomena van Rijswijk heard this from her mother (1925-2015) who learnt it from her father (1895-1937).
